Draft safely

Keep audience and content inputs explicit.

A campaign draft names one target segment, optional exclusion segments, a template and optional pinned template version, sender, subject, reply-to address, tags, and default variables. Every draft update snapshots the prior version so edit history remains available.

Test sends accept only an explicit list of up to ten addresses. They do not resolve or contact the production segment.

Preview and lock

Resolve eligibility before the send snapshot is created.

The audience estimate reports the eligible recipient count and separate exclusion counts for exclusion segments, suppressions, and unsubscribes. Its sample addresses are masked. At send time the same resolver creates an immutable per-recipient snapshot.

Only a draft can be edited. Scheduling locks its content but leaves the audience live, and the scheduled campaign can still be cancelled. When the dispatcher claims the campaign, it resolves and materializes the immutable audience snapshot; after that queue lock, cancellation is rejected.

Marketing controls

Campaign traffic follows the marketing route.

Per-recipient sends pass through the same consent, preference, suppression, vetting, rate-limit, and plan-limit gates as other messages. The dispatcher supplies a per-recipient unsubscribe URL and never changes the campaign category from marketing.

The marketing outbox route is separate from transactional routing. This is queue isolation, not a promise that every plan receives a dedicated physical IP or independent reputation pool.

Results

Read delivery outcomes without invented engagement metrics.

Campaign results aggregate recipient count, pending, sent, failed, skipped, delivered, bounced, complained, and unsubscribed totals. PulsePigeon does not present opens, clicks, replies, A/B significance, or variant engagement as capabilities on this surface.
