PulsePigeonemail infrastructure

Disclosure: PulsePigeon publishes this guide and is one of the products named. SaaS teams should validate product boundaries instead of accepting a universal ranking.

SaaS teams usually need two different jobs: time-sensitive application messages and consent-aware lifecycle campaigns. Document which team owns each job and whether one provider or separate providers reduce operational risk.

For application mail, test idempotency, category routing, delivery events, logs, and support escalation. For campaigns, test audience estimation, exclusions, suppressions, unsubscribe handling, scheduling, cancellation, and outcome reporting.

PulsePigeon routes transactional and marketing categories through separate outbox paths, while shared-IP plans may still share physical infrastructure. Campaign dispatch uses an immutable per-recipient snapshot and filters suppressed and unsubscribed recipients.

Mailgun, SendGrid, Customer.io, and PulsePigeon have different product boundaries. Validate those boundaries in current primary documentation and use a proof campaign with non-production recipients before selection.
